Sketch Dump May 2011

Here are some things that have been happening in my sketchbook recently! Lots of color, lots of completely un-related drawings...

Sketch Dump April 2011

Look, I haven't stopped drawing! In fact, I'm using pencils. And watercolors? How crazy!

SKETCH-DUMP #10.5, DR. SKETCHY'S EDITION

If you haven't heard of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School, you've been missing out! It combines two of life's most boss things: life-drawing, and burlesque. I attended the one here in Baltimore for the first time last week, and it was everything I had dreamed of and more. Modeling was the impossibly handsome Tony Apollo!

I highly recommend finding your local Dr. Sketchy's and giving it a go.

SKETCH-DUMP #10

Some doodles from the past month or so-- not a lot, and not all too quality, unfortunately. Hopefully I'll be turning over a new leaf this month with a new sketchbook and a new fancy water-color set! I'm super pumped!

SKETCH-DUMP #9

Drawings!

SKETCH-DUMP #8 - Finals / Winter Break

I realize this is mostly made up of things that look WAY DIFFERENT from my normal stuff, that is because I was trying to stop myself from going CRAZY. So, weirdness.

SKETCH-DUMP #6

Woahhhh, and I thought last sketch-dump had a lot of drawings! I don't know whether I've just been lazy about scanning, or if I've just drawn a lot recently. I think I've just been drawing a lot!

Trying out a bunch of new stuff here.

SKETCH-DUMP #5

Gasp! Biggest sketch-dump ever! Lots of doodles for your perusal.

SKETCH-DUMP #4

This week's sketch-dump is a little fanart heavy, mostly due to the gross week I had. Fanart cheers me up. Also, yes, the second image is a drawing of Oia. I did it after the final, and free-handed it. It's so interesting! And yet painful! Anyway, fanart and testing out lineless cartooning and hand-drawn type.

SKETCH-DUMP #3

Lots of ladies this time! I've been listening to Vienna Teng pretty much all week, so that explains the lyrics and the pretty women, I think.

SKETCH-DUMP #2

Sketch-dump. Silly doodles. Etc.

SKETCH-DUMP #1 (THE FIRST)

So it would just not be a decent overview of my artistic life if I didn't throw in some of my sketchbook too! Basically every once and awhile I will just amass a bunch of silly things I've drawn in my lovely watercolor Moleskine and stick them in one file. As you can see, when I'm not drawing Serious Art, I am drawing as much Completely Not Serious Art as physically possible!
