Romantic Getaway #3 - Venice, Italy

Romantic Getaway 3

In which the colors are kind of ridiculous, and there are gondolas. This project made me really want to be somewhere not the USA.

Romantic Getaway #2 - Oia, Greece

Romantic Getaway 2

The city in this drawing is basically architecturally impossible in every way because if there was ever a city impossible to draw, it is Oia. However, I attempted to capture the general feel of it?

Romantic Getaway #1 - Paris, France

Romantic Getaway 1

First in a series of three images of "romantic getaways", done for Illustration 1. These had to be done in a medium I was uncomfortable with-- in this case, watercolor and gouache.

SKETCH-DUMP #3

Lots of ladies this time! I've been listening to Vienna Teng pretty much all week, so that explains the lyrics and the pretty women, I think.

Outfit Doodles (9/19-9/24)

Sinner!! First Attempts

These didn't end up being used in the final, but I liked them too much to not post. Done in Adobe Illustrator.

In Which Aimee Visits A Church

Three images done to illustrate a short autobiographical story for my Narrative Illustration class! The story is about a time I went into a church and felt out of place, basically. Done in Photoshop!

U.S.S. TARDIS

Final piece for Celebrity Portraiture assignment. Trying out something different! Done in Photoshop.

Outfit Doodle 9/16/2010

I've decided to start doing daily outfit doodles! Mostly because I like drawing tiny me, and partially because I'm obviously super fabulous.

SKETCH-DUMP #2

Sketch-dump. Silly doodles. Etc.

After A Hard Day's Work

Want To Bet?

Obviously, after a long day of smiting and/or tempting respectively, nothing unwinds you like a game of sexy strip go-fish. In a church. This was done for my "versus" project, which simply required subject A vs. subject B, and drawn in Adobe Photoshop.

Last Floating Tennant Head, I Promise

I hope, anyway! Sumi ink on Bristol board, scanned and re-sized in Photoshop.

David Tennant's Face, Again

Except in completely ridiculous colors and shapes this time. This is way more like it, guys. WAY MORE LIKE IT. Photoshop.

David Tennant's Face!

Obviously, my true statement that I am terrible at digital painting is... still true, a couple of days later! But it looks like him! Sort of! Enough. Done in Photoshop for Illustration 1 course.

Team Free Will Poster

Team Free Will Poster

I... have no idea how this happened. One minute I was idly drawing in my sketchbook, the next I was full-blown coloring this delightful but pretty much useless Supernatural poster! Figures hand-inked with Micron pens, color/background/type all digital.

David Tennant.......s.

For Illustration 1, we all had to pick a celebrity to draw over and over and over again in order to learn more about capturing likenesses! I picked David Tennant, because that means there is Doctor Who fanart in my future.

Inked Cowboy Panels

Some slightly more finished sketches done for my Narrative Illustration class. They're the beginning and the end of a short SHORT story I wrote about some lady being stalked by a cowboy who in the end kills some bad dudes and saves her life. Done with Sumi ink on Bristol board.

SKETCH-DUMP #1 (THE FIRST)

So it would just not be a decent overview of my artistic life if I didn't throw in some of my sketchbook too! Basically every once and awhile I will just amass a bunch of silly things I've drawn in my lovely watercolor Moleskine and stick them in one file. As you can see, when I'm not drawing Serious Art, I am drawing as much Completely Not Serious Art as physically possible!

Digital Self-Portrait

Weird quasi-experimental self-portrait for Digital Illustration class, done in Photoshop. It would have helped if I had A) remembered how to paint or B) remembered how to digitally blend things.
