Leaving Home

Leaving Home

Done in Digital Illustration class! We were challenged to do a full illustration during the class on the idea of leaving home. So... I did! With an hour to spare, too. I'm actually quite fond of it.

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Editorial illustration assignment for the novel "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell" by Susanna Clarke.

EXCITING NEWS!!!

I don't know if anyone remembers, but a while back I posted about possibly selling things... such as cute stickers! Well, now they're available:

And in action:

(Yep, that one's on my sketchbook-- pros of them being my very own product: I get one!)

Since this is a blog of my work for the most part, personal things don't really find their way here-- but I figure a quick note is reasonable for this product! I'm curvy, I'm proud, I'm big (hah!) on fat acceptance-- ladies are great in all shapes and all sizes. If you agree, you should purchase one of my stickers! Or you should purchase one anyway, because I'm poor and they're cute.

Steampunk Story

Steampunk 1 Steampunk 3
final2 copy copyrgb Steampunk 4

Four quick pieces to go with a story about a hot-air-balloon-taxi-driver!

Short Yet Important Note!

From now on, I will hopefully be uploading all of my images via Flickr and then posting them here! That means that if an image looks tiny and terrible on the blog, you should click it and go to my Flickr.

Cool? Cool.

XOXOXO,
Aimee

Smoke Break

Smoke Break

So, wow! This is the first really finished full personal piece I've gotten to do this year. I feel like it's really the culmination of a bunch of things I've been doing lately, and I'm extremely happy with it. Exciting!!

Cinderella Environment

Experimental environment piece to go with my previous Cinderella-with-a-twist character designs! Not my usual cup of tea, so an interesting exercise.

Death

Death Talks To A Rock

One-panel for Sequential Art Club, which I accidentally joined! Filler for a collaborative comic about a personification of Death getting tired of their job and so going on a journey to find a replacement. Except in this, Death is just talking to a rock.

Onomatopoeia #1 - Sleeping Computer

MRRRRR

First in a series of three for Illustration 1. It inadvertently turned into an "embarrassing things in Aimee's life" illustration! But yeah, I treat my computer like I would a cat. If I liked cats, and weren't allergic to them.

11/7/2010: Edited slightly.
11/7/2010: ...edited slightly again! Woah, I cannot make up my mind today.

SKETCH-DUMP #6

Woahhhh, and I thought last sketch-dump had a lot of drawings! I don't know whether I've just been lazy about scanning, or if I've just drawn a lot recently. I think I've just been drawing a lot!

Trying out a bunch of new stuff here.

"Cinder-fella? Is that, like, a thing?"

Cinder (Character Designs)

For an assignment involving re-interpreting a fairy-tale! This is Cinder, who is bossed around by his evil step-mother and his two step-sisters. He gets saved by a Fairy Godmother, who helps him to got the ball, where he meets the beautiful warrior-princess! She kicks the crap out of his evil family, and he writes her silly songs. They live happily ever after!

11/02/2010: Edited to show both of his costumes.
