Danger Diabolik Re-Packaging

Danger Diabolik - DVD Packaging

Danger Diabolik - Inside Booklet Cover Danger Diabolik - Spot #1

Danger Diabolik - Spot #2 Danger Diabolik - Spot #3

Final project for Illustration 1-- re-packaging a DVD chosen for us complete with inside booklet and spot illustrations! Super pleased with mine. Still haven't seen the movie-- however, it appears that a high-point is a dude and a lady having sex in a large pile of money. So you know it's quality!

Onomatopoeia #2 - Rocket-Legs Ballerina

WHOOSH

I think it would be super awesome to have rockets instead of legs.

Onomatopoeia #2 - Meditating Robot

TIKTIKTIK

I've always felt that a constant ticking noise in my head would be very soothing! That or I'd go totally nuts, like The Master in Doctor Who.

Onomatopoeia #1 - Sleeping Computer

MRRRRR

First in a series of three for Illustration 1. It inadvertently turned into an "embarrassing things in Aimee's life" illustration! But yeah, I treat my computer like I would a cat. If I liked cats, and weren't allergic to them.

11/7/2010: Edited slightly.
11/7/2010: ...edited slightly again! Woah, I cannot make up my mind today.

Romantic Getaway #4 - A Beach, Somewhere

Romantic Getaway 4

Had to be done in a medium we were more comfortable with. My guys last time were the least well-done, so I did dudes again. On... a beach somewhere.

EDIT: If you're wondering if this changed a little, it did. I was unhappy with my first go, so I did something a little different.

Romantic Getaway #3 - Venice, Italy

Romantic Getaway 3

In which the colors are kind of ridiculous, and there are gondolas. This project made me really want to be somewhere not the USA.

Romantic Getaway #2 - Oia, Greece

Romantic Getaway 2

The city in this drawing is basically architecturally impossible in every way because if there was ever a city impossible to draw, it is Oia. However, I attempted to capture the general feel of it?

Romantic Getaway #1 - Paris, France

Romantic Getaway 1

First in a series of three images of "romantic getaways", done for Illustration 1. These had to be done in a medium I was uncomfortable with-- in this case, watercolor and gouache.

Last Floating Tennant Head, I Promise

I hope, anyway! Sumi ink on Bristol board, scanned and re-sized in Photoshop.

David Tennant's Face, Again

Except in completely ridiculous colors and shapes this time. This is way more like it, guys. WAY MORE LIKE IT. Photoshop.

David Tennant's Face!

Obviously, my true statement that I am terrible at digital painting is... still true, a couple of days later! But it looks like him! Sort of! Enough. Done in Photoshop for Illustration 1 course.

David Tennant.......s.

For Illustration 1, we all had to pick a celebrity to draw over and over and over again in order to learn more about capturing likenesses! I picked David Tennant, because that means there is Doctor Who fanart in my future.
