SKETCH-DUMP #10.5, DR. SKETCHY'S EDITION

If you haven't heard of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School, you've been missing out! It combines two of life's most boss things: life-drawing, and burlesque. I attended the one here in Baltimore for the first time last week, and it was everything I had dreamed of and more. Modeling was the impossibly handsome Tony Apollo!

I highly recommend finding your local Dr. Sketchy's and giving it a go.

Some doodles from the past month or so-- not a lot, and not all too quality, unfortunately. Hopefully I'll be turning over a new leaf this month with a new sketchbook and a new fancy water-color set! I'm super pumped!

A Map of Fandom

[REWORKED, SEE MORE RECENT POST]

My latest assignment in my Maps & Places class was to make a map of a subculture. I immediately decided to do the one that I, dare I say it, love the most-- fandom. It tends to be one of those you-only-understand-it-if-you're-in-it things, but I figured I would give it a shot, anyway. As silly a thing as it seems, I probably would not be the same person I am today without it, as a lot of my early (and not-so-early) artistic inspiration and endeavors were fan-art!

Anyway, have a map. And for those who are interested, I might be looking into ways to get this printed as a poster...
